I know I have not posted in a while. First , I had a kitchen disaster while making Tah-Chin, the delicious Persian rice dish that is made with saffron. I failed to acquire the coveted crust called tah-dig and I think that my yoghurt was too runny and I did not wash my rice enough. Then I went cavorting in our nation's capital last weekend with a couple of friends from Toronto. Top that with work-related stuff like testing database re-platforming in the midst of baking 400 macarons in less than 24 hours (yesterday). How I found energy to wake up this morning is beyond me but I guess you get through it somehow.
You are all probably saying "enough of your blabbering and announce the winner already!"
The winner of Chocolate Desserts by Pierre Herme is Robin Bergman. Congratulations! Robin has been one of the very first commenters on my blog and I know how she loves collecting cookbooks as much as I do. So Robin, I hope you enjoy the delicious recipes in Monsieur Herme's book!
Okay… time to grind some nuts for the macarons for this weekend's 17th Farmer's Market which incidentally will be hosting the First Shockoe half shell (Oyster Festival). Hmmn…macarons and oysters…
