I would really enjoy and benefit most from the hands on approach you're talking about here.
Reading only takes me part way, touching it seems to really get me the lesson.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I really want to take some classes so I can learn some new techniques and improve on my existing ones. Not sure I'd be up for boot camp – even though it sounds intriguing each time I read the course description.

You're kidding!?!?!?! I took that chocolate class, too! Small world! Now I'm trying to remember who was in my group… ?? I suspect you were the other person who didn't think cocoa nibs were all that awful.

Dave and I haven't taken our first classes there this "semester" yet. But we're both doing the program, Dave because he's a sucker for any cooking class. I'm more of the target audience for the classes there, as I'm more of a hobbiest.

We both have a full slate of classes coming up in a few weeks, if you're taking any more let us know!

I wish to take some cooking classes however where I live they don t offer any. I enjoyed reading the interesting info about fish. Good to know especially since i live on an island surrounded by sea and never cooked a fish ha funny eh

Hi Dani - yes...I wish I had all the time in the world. I am so busy that I was thinking of not attending but I already paid for it and I think too late to refund.
Hi Tanna- hands on is definitely better than just looking at pictures and reading about it.
Hi Patsyk - I do love sharing my experience about cooking school. When I attended bootcamp at the CIA, during the first day I was wondering what in the world have I gotten myself into!
Hi Jen! You are kidding! Now that I delve into my memory I think I can see you in the class. Was Dave with you? Small world indeed.
Hi snookydoodle - I lived in the philippines and am surrounded by it but never got the chance to even handle it even as the vendors bring us live fish in tubs to our doorsteps.

I love to take cooking classes – our local culinary school offered a weekend program for awhile, but they canceled it. I miss it!

I, too, am quite a fan of classes, as you know. This one sounds like fun. I did a couple of fish segments in one class at FCI, and for a time, was pretty good at filleting a whole fish! Messy work, though …
