One of my favorite food blogger friends, Lydia started a wonderful program called Drop in & Decorate five years ago. It’s a simple concept: bake some cookies, invite friends or family (or co-workers or neighbors) to drop by and help decorate, and donate your cookies to a local food pantry, emergency shelter, senior center, lunch program, or other group serving people in difficult circumstances during the holiday season.
This year , King Arthur Flour is partnering with The Perfect Pantry to offer a baking kit that will help people host their own Drop In & Decorate party.
Check out Lydia’s site for more details .

Veron, thank you so much for helping to spread the word!
Yay! I love her cause, I blogged about it too
That sounds like fun! Great program!
Sorry to hear about your macarons (below) but knowing you you will have the last laugh with a gorgeous bounty of perfect macarons!
That's cool, I don't know I never thought of that. I invite a group of friends over the day before Thanksgiving every year and we prepare 6-10 full dinners that are delivered to needing homes by a local church every Thanksgiving morning.
I've never been able to accomplish the same for Christmas, though. Thanks for the info and link.

hi dearie!
i've relocated to http://lapetiteboulangette.blogspot.com
thanks!
The recipes here are great. Thanks for having them. I am going to try out one of your recipes this week (after a trip to the grocery store to get the right ingredients). Experimenting in the kitchen is a favorite hobby of mine. I love trying out new recipes and your site has given me a lot of ideas. Where do you get the inspiration for them? I don’t have time to read it all right now, I found this site when looking for something else on ask.com, but I’ve bookmarked your homepage and will visit again soon. Please take a look at my recipe web site at http://www.KAChef.com. Thanks again – great site!
